What is the Ideas Bank?
It is a type of electronic communication through the Commission’s website that facilitates interaction between the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) and individuals with ideas, including those interested in the sector or service recipients. It allows them to submit their ideas via the website, explain them in detail, upload any attachments, and propose methods of implementation.
Proposal Objectives:
1To encourage all community members to present new ideas or suggestions in any of the Commission's multiple areas of regulation
2To gather innovative ideas that may add value and contribute to the development and advancement of the sector.
3 To provide an accessible platform for service recipients or those interested in the sector to share their ideas effortlessly through the website
Mechanism for Reviewing Proposals or Ideas:
The Commission forms a specialized committee across various sector-related fields to evaluate the ideas and proposals, identify the feasible and valuable ones, and then coordinate with the proposers. This includes discussing implementation mechanisms and drafting action plans. To encourage and motivate participants, the Commission may also organize a competition to select the best ideas, honor their creators, and offer symbolic rewards as recognition.
